Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as a tight-end in the National Football League. As one of the greatest tight ends in history and the league's top player in reception yards and receiving yards by a tight end, and is ranked third in overall receptions
The former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as an FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez has appeared in FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's one-hour NFL pregame program preceding FOX NFL the SUNRISE) and is broadcast each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez resigned with the Falcons on March 15 2013, for a deal worth $14 million over two years. He did this even though he claimed that he was going to retire at the close of the season. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leader in active yards recieving the last time during his playing career.
